Oney 52 Rent a Car – Rental Terms & Conditions

At Oney 52 Rent a Car, the following rental terms and conditions apply in order to provide a safe, transparent, and smooth car rental experience. By making a reservation or renting a vehicle, customers are deemed to have accepted these terms.

Age Requirements by Vehicle Group

The minimum age requirements are as follows:

  • Economy Group Vehicles: Minimum 21 years of age
  • Mid-Size Group Vehicles: Minimum 23 years of age
  • Upper & Luxury Group Vehicles: Minimum 25 years of age

Driving License Requirements

The minimum driving license validity required by vehicle group:

  • Economy & Mid-Size Group: At least 3 years of driving license
  • Upper & Luxury Group: At least 5 years of driving license

During vehicle pickup, customers must present a valid driving license and a credit card issued in the driver’s own name.

Requirements for Foreign Customers

Customers who are not Turkish citizens must present their passport and a document proving that their entry into Türkiye was less than 6 months ago.

Foreign customers who have been in Türkiye for more than 6 months are required to present a valid Turkish driving license.

If these requirements are not met, vehicle delivery will not be provided even if a reservation has been confirmed.

Credit Card & Deposit Policy

  • A credit card in the driver’s own name is mandatory at the time of rental.
  • The credit card must be enabled for online transactions.
  • A minimum deposit of TRY 3,000 may be pre-authorized, depending on the vehicle group.
  • Cash payments or third-party credit cards are not accepted.

Pay-at-Pickup & Reservation Conditions

  • Free cancellation is available.
  • To confirm the reservation, payment may be requested 24 hours prior to the rental start.
  • If payment is not completed, Oney 52 Rent a Car reserves the right to cancel the reservation.

Cancellations must be communicated through the following channels:

Services Included in Rental Prices

All prices listed by Oney 52 Rent a Car include the following:

  • Collision Damage Waiver (CDW – with deductible)
  • VAT
  • Specified mileage allowance

The CDW covers damages resulting from collisions. A deductible amount applies based on the vehicle group. Tire, glass, headlight, and non-collision damages are not covered.

Cases Where Insurance Becomes Invalid

The insurance coverage will be void and all damages will be the renter’s responsibility in the following cases:

  • The vehicle is driven by someone not listed in the rental agreement
  • Use of the vehicle outside normal operating conditions (wrong fuel, driving with flat tires, etc.)
  • Violation of traffic laws (speeding, red-light violations, etc.)
  • Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
  • Damage caused by transported goods or cargo
  • Negligent driving (failure to adjust speed to weather or road conditions)
  • Failure to immediately report accidents or theft
  • Failure to obtain official accident or alcohol reports within 48 hours
  • Failure to return the original key in case of theft
  • Failure to return the vehicle after the rental period without approval

Services Not Included in Rental Prices (Extras)

The following services are available at an additional cost:

  • Full Coverage Insurance (Zero Deductible CDW)
  • Theft Protection
  • Third-Party Liability Coverage Extension
  • One-Way Rental Fee
  • HGS Toll System (usage fee + TRY 10 service charge)
  • Additional Mileage Packages
  • Additional Driver (TRY 100 per day)
  • Baby & Child Seat
  • Other Operational Extras (subject to availability)

Mileage & Late Return Policy

  • Daily mileage limit is 200 km (may vary by vehicle group).
  • The standard rental period is 24 hours.
  • Each additional hour of delay may be charged at 30% of the daily rate.
  • Unapproved delays may invalidate insurance coverage.

Contract Changes & Early Return

Reservations are confirmed based on the initially agreed terms. Change requests may not always be accommodated due to operational reasons. If approved, pricing may be recalculated.

  • Early returns are subject to a 20% early return fee.
  • Rental extensions require prior approval and payment.
  • Further extensions may require vehicle inspection at an Oney 52 Rent a Car office.

Traffic Fines & Liability

All traffic fines incurred during the rental period are the renter’s responsibility. If Oney 52 Rent a Car pays the fine on behalf of the renter, the amount will be charged to the renter.

Reservation & Vehicle Delivery Rights

  • A confirmation email is sent upon reservation completion and must be retained by the customer.
  • In case of discrepancies, Oney 52 Rent a Car records shall prevail.
  • Oney 52 Rent a Car reserves the right to refuse vehicle delivery when deemed necessary.
  • The reserved vehicle brand or model may be replaced with an equivalent vehicle if required.
  • Payments can be made via credit card at pickup or by mail order.
  • In exceptional cases (mechanical failure, accident, operational issues, etc.), Oney 52 Rent a Car may cancel vehicle delivery and refund any paid amount.

All reservations made through our website are valid upon acceptance of the “Rental Terms & Conditions”, “Pricing Policy”, and “Website Terms of Use”.
